On Your "Duvet Cover" Tip: instead of doing the ribbons, 98% of the time I either get my roommate or one of my friends to help me with that. Same concept, only they end up holding two corners of the duvet. (Also works for pillows!)

That works for getting it into the cover, but I always have the problem that the duvet migrates down toward the bottom, so I’m stuck with all cover, no duvet on the top half of my body. The ribbons keep it in place in the cover, no matter how much I thrash around while I’m sleeping.
