So I found my old gym backpack in the back of my closet. It's a really nice backpack but unfortunately a bottle of bodywash exploded in it and has now dried into a really weird crud all on the bottom. Is it a lost cause? Or is there a way to clean it? I'm wary of throwing a backpack in the washing machine.

If it’s fabric or nylon, you should be OK with it in the washer. if you don’t want to do that, let it soak in the bathtub, rinsing and changing out the water every so often. Good news is, bodywash is soap. So it’ll be clean. :D
