Unfuck Your Habitat

My apartment on the morning of March 3rd 2012. The work I did on the 2nd made a real visual difference, and I also got some hidden unfuckery done after I drafted that post.

Unfucking so far:

Three pages in my journal, longhand. In addition to working on unfucking my habitat I have gone back to give the morning pages as described in The Artist’s Way a shot. I’m not thinking particularly hard about what I write, and I’m not reading back yet, in keeping with the system.

Made my bed.

I didn’t have to put my laundry in the hamper because I undressed in front of the wardrobe, LIKE A BOSS.

Washed the dishes that I had cleverly hidden in the sink the night before.

Worked on some of the counters in the kitchen. I pulled my coffee station, wiped the counter, wiped all the things and put them back. Then I did the same thing to the counter to the left of the stove, and I also wiped the stovetop clean. But then my coffee was done so I poured a cup (A single estate roast. One of our local businesses is a small coffee business, and the owners travel around the world to get coffee. It’s expensive, but it’s also amazing.) Now I’m working on the draft of this unfuck post.

So what you see is what it looked like yesterday. Heh.

I didn’t do a lot of unfucking beyond that because a friend came by and SUDDENLY IKEA. So I have more stuff to screw into the walls, yay! The best find was exactly the right size mirror for 20 bucks, fuckyeah! And we’re going to go RPG Shadowrun, fuck yeah!

When I got home from the gaming session, I did a tiny bit of organizing in the bathroom, but it’s seriously fucked. I guess that’s where I’m going to work today. I bought a little container from IKEA that’s pretty brilliant, I really wish I had a bunch more. I’m definitely getting more of them the next time I go, which might actually be pretty soon.
