What kind of cleaner do you pour in your toilet? I want to start doing this, but I am not sure if I should use the cleaner I normally use for washing the toilet, or something milder. I'm confused! Also, I have to kittens at home.

I usually use a multi-purpose concentrate like Lysol or Pine-Sol or something. You can use any cleaner you have on hand. Even dish soap. If you have kittens, either skip this p.m. step, or close the lid or the bathroom door to make sure they don’t have access to water with cleaner in it.

I use vinegar cleaner, and I do close the lid so my cats won’t get at it. Not that they normally would — the stuff stinks for them. But the black one is weird, he might try stinky stuff just because it’s there.
