I’ve been meaning to change my habits for a long time now. I’m a messy, messy person - always have been. I don’t know if it’s due to depression or if it runs in the family (my grandmother passed away recently, and when people were going through her house they found she had TWO TONS OF COAL in her basement. Coal!). I found UFYH through a suggestion in the comments on not martha when she was asking for cleaning inspiration. After observing for some time, I decided that if other people can do it, with much more crippling depression or physical conditions than I, then I could to. So, I started with two easy-ish rooms and one harder room.
I even took out my beloved chestnuts from the corners, since summer’s approaching and most of the spiders will remain outside for the time being.

I did do the dishes, but my sink faces the window and it was SUPER BRIGHT today so I couldn’t get decent photos of the newly-freed counter space.
So, thank you, UFYH, for giving me inspiration for what I’ve always wanted to do, was just never able to kick my ass into doing.
