Is apple cider vinegar better for getting burns off a stainless steel pot than regular vinegar? I read somewhere that it was, and it sure seems to work, but a.c. vinegar smells like dog vomit to me... Suggestions?

I use white vinegar for everything. It’s cheaper and the smell dissipates faster.

What do you mean by white vinegar, by the way? Because I’ve in the past I’ve read white wine vinegar, but if white vinegar works then that’s cheaper and this is relevant to my interests. So is it straight up white vinegar, or white wine vinegar?
