My family uses iron skillets and i have my own mini-one and while I tried to keep it from getting gunky on the outside(as have all of ours do), I was unable to stop it. What do I do to make it look like new? :O I'm trying to cut back on fried foods, so I won't be keeping it in the kitchen, I want to put it in my room with my other food prepping stuff(out of the way for everyone else)

If you’re talking about cast iron, having it look like new is no good! You want it seasoned to build up that non-stick finish, and to give your food that cast iron taste.

This is an easy tutorial on how to season cast iron.
