Good to know when certain students get into their teacher’s sharpies and decide to color on the white board. /not that that’s ever happened to me or anything *shifty eyes*
Alcohol/hand sanitizer will take Sharpie off of a white board in a pinch, too.

You can also get Sharpie off a white board by writing over it with a dry erase marker and then erasing. It also works for really caked on old dry erase writing.

To get permanent marker off a whiteboard, you can also take a normal white board marker and go over the Sharpie/permanent marker marks. The permanent marker should erase with the white board marker.

If you draw on top of the sharpie with dry erase, it’s supposed to lift off the sharpie. Haven’t tried it, but it’s worth a shot.
