Terrifying motivation for lazy people with messy homes

So I submitted an ask, but basically, anyone who is reading this…

Do you have any idea how to take UFYH(abitat) principles and try and work them into some kind of UFYHead? I’m slowly getting into habits and routines and good organisational/cleaning type stuff, but my head? Some days I’m flat out not curling up into a ball and becoming suicidal. And yeah, I have all this stuff my psych tells me to do, and it works up to a certain point, but i’m sitting here on the day before my birthday and I’m sad. And i’m actually (bizarrely) happy that I’m sad, because it means I’m not angry and hating everyone for their inability to throw away toilet paper rolls…

First off, happy birthday from all of Team UfYH!!

I find that when I’m in a depressive episode, doing something that requires me to get out of bed and DO something helps because it keeps me active, it interrupts my thoughts, and it gives me a goal and a distraction. I’ve had very few depressive episodes since I started UfYH, because I’m always so busy with it, and the ones I’ve had have tended to be of the overwhelmed or “something really shitty happened today” variety. So what say you, unfuckers? Anyone have advice?

Please keep in mind that this is not a substitute for appropriate medical care, and I’m not a qualified expert in anything.
