Unfuck Your Habitat

Now for some real work! I have 4 drawers full of whatever, and I can’t ever find anything I need. Time to unfuck!

First lets get everything out on the table:

Please pay mind to the container with pens in it all the way at the end of the table. It matters, as I unfucked that container, which almost took 20 min all its own :P

First drawer reorganized:

Lot less pens, what I threw out in a later picture! Office supplies + few writing pads drawer :)

Onto the next:

Medical things for me and my cat, my forgotten e-reader (should use it more!), USB sticks I found everywhere, iPod shuffle + connector, new batteries. Orange folder contained all sorts of paper, put that all in my “paper archive” and loaded the folder with action items (previous just thrown into one of the drawers and forgotten).

And the next:

Drawing equipment. The folder contains tax papers, and on top is some information that’s RELEVANT AT THIS MOMENT. <- this matters, there was all kinds of information that was either not relevant at all, or not anymore. Food plan for my current diet and kitty information (though I don’t read it that often, I still have a kitten running around).

And the last one:

This may seem a mess, but I promise you, it was 100x worse. It’s my DS/3DS stuff on the left, my (better, hardly used) camera above my 3DS case. Keyboard I use when my laptop is hooked to the TV on top. Screen cleaners next to it, notepad for gaming, xbox controller charger and 3D glasses (to save money at the cinema!).

And now! Everything I threw away:

Yup, that’s a lot of pens, most I didn’t even use. Whiteboard markers require a whiteboard, which I don’t have.

Stuff I relocated to a more appropriate place. Most of this went into the “paper archive” box.

Stuff I’ll be donating to my dad.

Last and least. The stack of paper I need to run through the scanner and then throw out.

FOREVER PROCRASTINATING… only now it’s right on the table in a staring contest with me. That should help, compared to being put away where nobody sees.

HOORAY! Project 1 complete! I have 2 projects planned at the moment. They’ll be done when… a weekend isn’t planned out jam packed with awesome.
