I wanted to add a note to your habits post, but tumblr has defeated me and I can’t figure out how. Here’s my short list of super-ninja unfucking habits (super-ninja because they actually keep stuff from getting fucked in the first place): 1) Take off your shoes when you come in the house (your floors will thank you). 2) Use coasters. 3) Avoid eating in the bedroom, living room, bathroom, etc. Eat in the dining room or kitchen.

mu suggestion: as well as making your bed every day I have found it magically transforms the kitchen to wipe the stove down.. not just the top which I was managing to do a couple times a week but inside the burner wells. our stove is white and gas burning so you just have to lift off the grate thingys and wipe the sucker out. I do it like WETHER IT NEEDS IT OR NOT!!!! holy shit. it looks so nice without months and years of built up crap that it has the shining magical effect upon the whole room that bed making does - for me anyway
PS: hey, you should enable your submit function.. wait how are people sending you photos and shit.. oh tumblr you’re so weird — biitumen

I don’t know if you’ve already mentioned this, but sink strainers are the BEST at keeping your drains free from foodstuffs and whatever else you throw in there. It saves you from dealing with clogs of gunk.

sassy-gay-merida asked you:Develop a habit of clearing small trash bits off your desk/table/local flat surface during downtime (e.g. waiting for a computer page to load or someone to answer the phone). Tissues and sticky notes seem to accumulate pretty quickly during the course of a day.

I just found out about ufyh and I’m loving the super simple cleaning tips! I thought I might add one of my favorites. You mention denture tablets for getting rid of coffee/tea stains in mugs, but if you didn’t have any on hand salt works really well too. All you do is get the mug slightly damp (with water or vinegar), then sprinkle salt in it. Then when you wipe it out, most of the stains wipe away as well :D

Holy Moley. That resolve damp powder you brush in to the floor? MAGIC! I Cinderella scrubbed that in to my carpet yesterday and then vacuumed three times. My house actually had a neutral smell today when I came home. Not stale and gross OR perfume-y!
