My newest breakthrough in getting over my resistance to cleaning has been this series of realizations:
-I don’t find activities fulfilling or worthwhile unless I feel as though I am actively, intentionally creating something.
-Cleaning is something I used to consider a futile battle against entropy, and therefore inherently uncreative.
-If I flip that to “cleaning is actively, intentionally creating the kind of space I want to inhabit”, things become easier!

For some reason I found this mention of entropy to be deeply resonant. SCIENCE! Yeehaw.
Amazing. This makes so much sense to me.
I really like this way of thinking! Amazing what a simple mind-flip can do.
Love this idea. I’m pretty sure thinking of it in this way will help me too. :)
This revelation is kinda brilliant.
aw man that last one! That’s been my recent breakthrough in the cleaning department too, but I hadn’t thought of it like...
