It’s been a hard two weeks. It’s been more work than we ever thought possible, and honestly I don’t think we even believed we could do it ourselves. But we have.
We started trying to take the deck down last year and failed pretty miserably without proper tools. Then we borrowed tools and just left them in a corner to ignore for a while.
After we got back from our vacation at the beach, Hubby was home for the rest of the week and we got started. We borrowed a circular saw from his parents to cut the boards we already had into small lengths and got most of those picked up so we wouldn’t get into trouble with the City. We needed to get the rest of the deck down and once we got started we couldn’t stop so that it wasn’t a danger to anyone.
