Got possession of the room on the 31st. Went to Ikea on the 31st. Brought to the apartment: 3 suitcases, 1 backpack, 9 boxes. Had 28 pieces of Ikea stuff (139.2 kg or 306.8 lbs of packages) delivered on the 31st.
I took the top photo right after the Ikea delivery at 7:30pm. I took the bottom photo at 10:30pm. Keep in mind that I also had a wicked head cold at the time. Also, the reason the 10:30pm photo looks good is because I shoved all the boxes and suitcases out of the room before I went to bed. It is deceptive, that photo.
Now on Day 2 I brought 2 more suitcases and 3 more boxes to the apartment and then built most of the remaining furniture and unpacked most of the boxes. There are not photos of that because I was working on autopilot.

At this point, I couldn’t marathon anymore. So I started 20/10s using the UfyH app. I 20/10’d from about 11:45 to almost 4 and I still hadn’t finished everything and I was out of energy (and still sick!!) so I stopped for the day and picked it up this morning. As of 2:45, everything is done. All the boxes are unpacked. All the empty boxes and suitcases are stacked neatly in the storage space. My drawers, bookshelves, and closet are all organized and not just haphazardly stuffed. I’m ready for my first day of my PhD tomorrow.
I deserve this labour day holiday today. AND its the first day that I’m not sick. But my appetite hasn’t returned. I lost about 8 pounds this week from illness + moving.
