And lo, the Unfuckening did continue. I’ve gotten distracted the last couple of days, as I’ve started working out in earnest and neglecting my unfucking also I unearthed my gameboy and lost an afternoon. I’ve hit the Narnia under my bed hard and owned it, and sorted out the pile of crap I had sitting in the kitchen, and unfucked some of my junk drawers. Small gains, but progress is progress, right?
I’ve hit a wall, though. The majority of my unfucking is just washing the ungodly large piles of dirty clothes, and I feel like once I get those sorted I’ll be good to go for the rest of the smaller jobs which still need to be unfucked. I just need to give in and be willing to do washing after 8pm, when we pay half price for the electricity (sweetest power company deal EVER). You can do laundry at night, ginger balls. It’s okay.
I have a query for all you fellow Unfuckers! I have two problems, and I’d love your help. First, I need some form of shoe storage. What works well for you guys? Do ya’ll have storage suggestions which can accommodate a large variety of shoe shapes? (my high heels and hiking boots were the bane of my last shoe organization attempt) Also I’m open to suggestions for how to get yourself to get rid of things. I assume many of us like to keep things (how else did we get into this mess?), and I’ve got a lot of clothes I should probably get rid of, but can’t bring myself to. I’m having a hard time applying the ‘have you worn it in the last nine months’ rule, because I didn’t fit them nine months ago but my slightly skinnier ass (50 lbs! GO ME) fits them now, and I can’t afford new clothes. Unless that’s an excuse I need to get past. I don’t know. I’m still trying to figure out this unfucking my life thing.
On the bright side, I’ve made my bed every day this week and each night all the clothing goes into the basket (ugh. More laundry I have to do. Brb taking up naturism until I’m done with all this fucking washing). I got this. I can unfuck while I Unfuck.
