Hey, team UfYH!

…what the heck is this?

About a month ago, I did a deep-clean of the bathroom.  I used Clorox somethingorother and a stiff-bristled scrubbing brush (the one I use for the tub) to go over this weird white patch, and it seemed to go away.  However, that only lasted a couple of days, and then it came back, in the same or an otherwise very similar pattern.

There’s a lot more contrast in person that didn’t come through in the picture (curse you, phone camera).  It almost looks like soap suds or toothpaste dried on the tile.

I haven’t tried a Magic Eraser or other sponge yet, but I figured I’d see if you had any idea what it is or how to get rid of it. Hard water? Idk?

Could be calcium deposits or hard water stains, in which case CLR or, you guessed it, vinegar would be helpful. (CLR would work more quickly.)

Less likely, it could be residue from when the grout was spread. If it wasn’t wiped properly before it set, it can leave marks like that.
