I glanced around in the tags and didn’t really see anything for this: I’m trying to clean the mattress (and by mattress, I mean piece of foam covered by a quilt top) on my son’s play pen, as well as the fabric seat on his travel swing. Neither of these pieces are able to be put in the washer. Suggestions?
Parents, what say ye? How do you get this stuff clean?

I glanced through the dishes tag and didn't see anything that would help me - I'm having two issues with using my dishwasher to wash my dishes. The first one is that the dishes often aren't getting clean (or they are coated with sediment or food particles after it runs, especially the top rack). Other dishes are becoming stained/discolored and/or pitted as a result of multiple washings. We've had someone out to look at the dishwasher and they said it was fine. Any suggestions?

- Have someone else look at it. Something’s not right.
- Wash your dishes by hand.
- You can clean your dishwasher by running it empty with a bowl of vinegar on the top shelf, but it sounds like your issues are beyond mineral deposits.
