My cousin posted that on his Facebook the other day and I commented with this link.
No one else thinks I’m nearly as hilarious as I do.
Excellent tip!

Thank you, I am planning to go to bed soon but sadly sleep alludes me at the moment. Sorry for being a bother. Someone should definitely create something that does that Timezone thing though, for more than Tumblr.
You’re not a bother. Go to bed, though. That means turning off the computer. :)

Oh Gods no, sorry. I wasn’t remotely suggesting you should do that. It was more of a lament on how time still divides us I guess. Sorry, I’m not in the best headspace atm. I should stop thinking out loud.
If Tumblr had a function where I could set things to post according to the user’s local timezone, I would totally do that! But they don’t. Because it’s Tumblr. (But if you’re still up, and I think it’s almost 4 a.m. there, you should probably go to sleep. Because it’s late, and sleep is important.)

Being in the UK I always see this at about 2am and I’m like…welp, too late for “go to bed at a reasonable hour.” I kind of wish there was a UK timezone reblog, or I guess pre-blog. On the other hand I’m not sleeping at the moment anyway so…
UfYH operates on EST (GMT-5). I’d love to be able to repost everything so everyone sees it at the right time for their timezone, but there are 40 timezones, and I don’t think everyone wants to see “Make your bed” 40 times a day.

You guys, this is so great! (UfYH mention around 2:30, but watch the whole thing!)

I know that my habitat starts to fall apart, I feel worse, I don’t want to clean, the habitat gets worse, I feel worse… But in a clean space, I’m more likely to keep it clean, more likely to keep moving and stay motivated. I’ve heard a lot of similar things from other commenters.
This is me too. I suffer from depression and social anxiety that leaves me housebound 24/7, and my house is a wreck! I haven’t motivated myself to clean yet, but the more I read this, the more I want to.Don’t wait to get motivated, just go! Now! Get up, and spend, let’s say, five minutes just throwing away some trash or bringing the dishes to the sink or clearing off one surface. That’s it. No overthinking, no commitment, just five minutes!
I just wanted to echo the above commenters. Even though I’ve only unfucked a couple of things so far each time it’s made things just that little bit easier. (We won’t mention the damp laundry that’s been in the washing machine for three days. It’s made it’s home now, it’s happiest there.)
Wash it again with a cup of
and throw it in the dryer. AND THEN PUT IT AWAY. Come on. It will take three minutes, three times. (Start wash, put in dryer, put away.)

I did the vinegar thing the first night after they got left, but I figured after three days I should probably just wash them again. The machine is on now, no dryer to speak of so they need hanging up on a rack but it WILL BE DONE I promise. I may even take photographic evidence to prove it.
Oh, yeah, I should have clarified that I meant detergent as well as vinegar. But high five for doing it! And you’ll get an extra high five when everything is dry and put away!

I’m confident that you can make this happen! Just pace yourself, take your breaks, and don’t focus on how bad it’s gotten. Focus on how good it’s going to be.
