I'm about to clean an extremely dusty room and am hoping for some tips. I end up sneezing constantly -- every couple seconds and sometimes to the point of nose bleeds. I try to use a damp cloth, take allergy meds, wear a mask, etc. but it doesn't help much. I never seem to get all the dust before it's in the air! I can't avoid the project, but I'm dreading how it will make me feel. Do you have any tips on how reduce the dust in the air when I'm moving things around?

Well, my first three suggestions would be damp cloth, allergy meds, and wear a mask. I don’t think it’s possible to get all of the dust before it gets into the air. Vacuuming helps, if your vacuum has a good filter. A fan set up in the window as an exhaust fan might help get what’s in the air out faster.
Have you tried a HEPA air filter full-time in the room so the dust problem doesn’t get to this point?
